I got this award my senior year of high school after taking 3 years of Spanish classes. I feel like it could have gone to someone who deserved it more, but I appreciate my Spanish teacher for giving it to me. Nearing the end of the year I remember being called down to the office to pick up my award, that I did not expect to get.

I remember watching the video of my teacher presenting who got the award. She had so many nice things to say, and I was really honored to receive it from her. This award helps me evaluate my self worth a little better, I usually am so anxious that I am not doing enough or won’t be successful in the future, but things like this award give me hope for that future.
