Although some people hate this 1939 Steinbeck classic, I absolutely love it. This book is from the 1960s (my estimate.) My first assignment in my AP Lit class was to make a journal and presentation. To teach people about a novel of our choice. Because I had not chosen a book, last minute I chose The Grapes of Wrath because we had it in the house and a classmate convinced me. It turned into my main bit for the rest of the year, to bring it up every chance I got to.

It is a very cool book about a family that gets displaced after the dust bowl ravages their farm in Oklahoma. Causing them to violate their sharecropping agreement and kicked off their farm. They try to find jobs in California with many trials and tribulations. The book is very socialist oriented and influenced the Franklin Roosevelt administration to change the United States. I had a very good time listening to an audiobook while following along. It still is my favorite book of all time and I reccomend!
